Good morning, McKinney.

Collin College met all the standards for the certified Toyota and Lexus Technician Training and Education Network program and celebrated the achievement with a party in July at its Technical Campus with Toyota reps, students, alumni, instructors, and staff—marking a key milestone in automotive training. The program boosts partnerships with Toyota and local dealerships to expand training pathways for future technicians.

McKinney officials canceled plans for an inverted deck park on State Highway 5 after $15 million in federal funding was pulled—city leaders redirected funds for improved ground-level crossings along the highway.

The City Council approved the change on September 16, marking a shift in the project’s focus.
