ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A MAYDAY was called as McKinney firefighters fought a house fire on Saturday night at a two-story home on the 7400 block of Joshua Tree Trail, where one firefighter became disoriented and low on air and nine firefighters were taken to a hospital with injuries including smoke inhalation and overexertion before being treated and released.  The Dallas Morning News

CRIME NEWS

  • Vanessa Esquivel, a 27-year-old from Frisco, was charged with murder after she left her 15-month-old child locked in a hot car on August 16 — the child died after being left for over two hours on Preston Road while temperatures exceeded 95.  Collin County Magazine
  • A Murphy man was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison for running a $4 million investment fraud scheme that misled oil and gas investors + he used false documents to raise money which was then spent on personal and business expenses.  FOX 4
