  • In McKinney, runoff election results from Saturday, June 7 showed that Bill Cox led Scott Sanford in the race for mayor, with Cox receiving 52.7% of early and mail-in votes + Sanford 47.3%. The contest follows Mayor George Fuller being term-limited after eight years and occurs as McKinney’s population grew from 54,000 in 2000 to over 224,000 today.  The Dallas Morning News
