- ➤ A McKinney resident won $1 million in a Powerball drawing on May 21 after buying the ticket at the Walmart Supercenter on 2041 N. Redbud Blvd. The second-tier ticket matched five white ball numbers but missed the red ball — according to a Texas Lottery news release. The Dallas Morning News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The McKinney City Council approved an agreement for a JW Marriott resort hotel to be built in Craig Ranch—set to include 290 guest rooms, over 51,000 square feet of conference space, resort amenities such as a pool and fitness center, and at least 45 condominiums for sale. The development will promote tourism and support economic growth while additional incentives are reviewed at upcoming summer meetings. FOX 4
