- ➤ Dozens of Fairview residents gathered at Town Hall on April 24 to attend a public hearing on the proposed McKinney Texas Temple by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose redesigned plan reduces the spire height from 174 feet to 120 feet. The hearing saw strong views with supporters in blue shirts and opponents in green — attendance was capped at 50 seats — and the Town Council will vote on the plan this Tuesday.
