- ➤ At Saturday's UIL Class 5A Region II track meet at UT-Arlington’s Maverick stadium, McKinney North senior Ryhan Balous advanced to state in all four events even though she finished second in the 100 and 4x200 relay behind Red Oak’s Zahria Bernard—Balous set meet records earlier and will compete at state on May 2. Other events saw wins by Carrollton Newman Smith’s Zion Isaiah Raheem Williams and key relay victories, adding to a competitive day. The Dallas Morning News
