- ➤ A caiman seized during a federal raid in South Dallas last month was moved to the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary — where staff ask for public help in choosing a name for the reptile. The reptile, a Cuvier’s dwarf caiman that arrived on March 8, may need surgery after ingesting gravel. The Dallas Morning News

- ➤ The City of McKinney has invited residents and business owners to a grand opening for the new City Hall on Saturday, April 19 from noon to 3 p.m. at 401 E. Virginia St — city leaders will host self-guided tours, a ribbon cutting, art and history exhibits and food trucks as the facility consolidates services from nine locations to better serve the community.
