- ➤ McKinney Community Development Corporation awarded nearly $37 million in project grants to support local projects such as trail improvements, new townhome construction, and airport upgrades—board members reviewed numerous applications and listened to presentations to ensure the projects improve quality of life in McKinney. - ➤ Arts in Bloom will return to Downtown McKinney from April 11 to April 13 and will showcase over 120 juried artists, live music, art demonstrations and wine tasting from 14 Texas wineries—also featuring craft beer, food vendors and interactive kids' art stations. - ➤ Texas lawmakers in the State Affairs Committee considered a proposed bill that would require voters to show a birth certificate or passport to register and vote in most races—voters lacking proof would only be able to vote in U.S. House and Senate elections.
